WOW! Many congratulations on your amazing challenge! We have enjoyed so much following your progress on the web. What a beautiful thing to
do for a dear friend and such lovely touching words on the
description of your last climb. Sophie and Phil are looking forward to joining you tomorrow, it will be the highlight of the summer
holidays for her. Wishing you all a fantastic time tomorrow. |

Congrats in advance on an amazing achievement. I'm really looking forward to walking with you tomorrow. I noticed from the email distribution that there are about 30 or 40 people hoping to climb with you tomorrow - do we all get mentioned in the "buddies" section??? Serriously though, congratulations. You must be knackered . . . |

May I congratulate you on your fantastic effort of Munros climbed so far, and wish you good luck with the last 60. I work as a funeral Director and am familiar with the great support Maggies Centre give to people so your fund raising will go to a very good cause, as a "fellow bagger " I have completed five munros in the last 4 months and cannot begin to imagine what you must put yourself through on each trip, a great tribute to your friend who you lost, I shall send a donation to school with my son Thomas. |

You guys rock! For every munro you climb from this date forward I will give you a £1! (But I will put this all in as one big some when you are done - so not long now!) Mwa x

A keen hill walker and starting-out Munro bagger myself, I stubled across your website a few weeks back, and initially was very impressed at what you have done. Shame you haven't been able to complete the challenge but it's an real inspiration. |

Glad your commitment to your challenge has survived better than mine, Doug - buddying once a month – ha! Have you got any easy ones left in the last 80? Determined to make it out with you one more time! Would like a nice sunny day, no wind please. And no Hoody epic types either, ta xx |

Good to talk to you today. I've given you twenty quid plus gift aid for the lift along the road. A small price to pay!
Good luck with the rest of the quest. If you've still no friends I could be persuaded to join you again sometime ... after reading the appeal on the website I could possibly even be persuaded to provide transport from Ratho onwards and save your petrol costs ...
I'm going to send the link on to a few Fifers (notoriously tight) but it might yield a few more quid for the cause. |

Keep on climbing....good luck and thank you so much...again..... from all of us here at Maggie's. |

I have just heard about your project, hugely impressed, the very best of luck. I have just returned from a week's visit to the North west, where I did the Fisherfield 6 which I found a huge but terrific expedition and some of the Fannichs plus Beinn Dearg, Eididh nan Clach Geala, Meall nan Ceapraichean, & Cona Mheall. A fantastic week, but glad to have had a break for a few weeks, & not go up a mountain - it must become quite a strain getting out week end after week end. All the best. |

Thanks for a great day's walking. The weather was great and the scenery stunning. The company a bit mediocre at times. Only kidding, keep going and hope to join you again soon.
P.S 2 poles definitely better than one!!!!!!!!! |

Many a mickle makes a muckle!
I recently found £20 in my tenement stairwell and thought rather than spend it on rubbish (or finding its rightful owner) why not put it towards Doug's petrol?! If anybody else comes into unexpected money whether it be a penny off the street, the change by your bed or your company bonus why not put it to a good cause? And Doug… glad to see you've finally changed your clothes, that red jacket must have been getting mighty stinky! xxx |

Just to remind everyone that a few of us are heading up to Torridan for a few days munroing on Friday 29th June. Everybody welcome. |

How can it be possible to do 3 Munros in 5 hours?! [May 20th] How can that be done? You'd tell me if you were getting airlifted in, wouldn't you!?
I am struck dumb in awe and wonderment at your yomping prowess..! x |

To "Doug Man of Steel" and "Ali Two Strides to everyones one" - we just wanted to say that we really loved our day out with you climbing Ben Challum. Jill is sorry that she didn't make it to the top but after seeing Jason not regain full use of his legs for around 5 days after the climb is also quite relieved. Looking forward to both of us making it to the top with you in the summer. Lots of Love Jill and Jason xxx |

Hope you complete the round. Funnily enough we were on the Drumochter hills the same day as you. We had a slightly later start so were probably an hour or so behind you.

Get the finger out Dougie. You chickened out last weekend simply because it was a little bit windy. No excuses on Saturday. I will be thinking off you whilst drinking beer and watching the 6 nations. The date for the Heriot expedition to Torridan has been set for the weekend of the 30th June. All welcome but it is BYOT (Bring Your Own Tent). |

I am the fundraising co-ordinator for Maggie's Centre in Dundee. I have just been talking to Jill and she told me about your Munro Challenge and gave me the website address. I just wanted to say a BIG HUGE THANK YOU FROM ALL OF US at Maggie's. Please keep me posted an how you are getting on. |

Doug has officially succumb to Munro-madness – comments such as "Do you think it'd be fun to be a water molecule?" to be taken for evidence! |

I'm a friend of Jill (Douglas) and her family. Her Mum, Elaine, told me about your heroic efforts to climb all the Munros...I don't know if you are obsessive, dedicated, or just young with lots of energy... I don't think I EVER had that amount of energy!!!! I suspect you are a bit of all three... with a bit of craziness thrown in for good measure! I wish you every success in your challenge and would enjoy keeping up to date with your website. I'd appreciate hearing when you complete any Munros. |

And Dougie said: "They'll be alright this time. I've got a plan. I'll shave a little bit of my foot off and squash another part of it with a big hammer. I'm sure they'll fit those luvverly mantas then. They will. They will. They will."
NO THEY WON'T DOUGIE. GIVE UP ON YOUR MANTAS. |
