Ben Vane and Ben Ime. Climbed on a windy, cloudy drizzly day solo. Good track to the base of Ben Vane (and Ben Ime) steep ascent through crags and would provide a good days walking at a nice leisurely pace. After warnings of steep descent, turned out not too bad and climb up Ben Ime though steep slog was without issue. Climbing Ben Vane on its own would make a nice relaxed day and I look forward to climbing it when there's a view!

Climbed solo on a day which was forecast to have 40 - 60 mph winds with gusts of up to 90mph! Climbed in the lee of the hill (great planning) and so only noticed the wind as I topped out, where it was all kicking off! Spent about 30 seconds at the summit before deciding to head down. Looking forward to sleeping in a shed in Tyndrum tonight with Ali and her Pa. Should be a larf.

Meall Glas & Sgiath Chuil. Climbed again on my own after a night on the tiles at Izzies. Ouch! Really not wanting to be walking and over these two boggy horrible hills too. These are the days that break me! Tired, cold, alone and knowing there's another 5 hours ahead of me in this. However I met a good bloke called Jamie atop the first hill and we walked the rest together- totally took my mind off the pain, cheers Jamie. Glad to get down though.

Beinn Dubhchraig, Ben Oss, Ben Lui & Beinn a' Chleibh. Climbed alone (though Ali dropped me off and picked me up- Gowd blessa!) I actually enjoyed the walking today- the cloud wasn't too bad and I spent a lot of time out of it. Lovely views over to Ben Cruachan and beyond. Good test for my leg- it held up OK- and looking forward to some more (I think!?!)

Stob Ban, Stob Coire Claurigh, Stob Coire an Laoigh & Sgurr Choinnich Mor. Climbed solo on a dreich day which had me walking in cloud virtually the whole time. Here is an example of what would probably be a terrific walk if you can see! Between Stob Coire an Laoigh and Sgurr Choinnich Mor my knee became VERY sore- so much so that I had to stop for a while. Decided that I'd have to get it seen to before I carried on with the walking challenge. Very painful on the descent, and no way I could continue tomorrow. Saw Physio and he sorted me out but told me to take the week off walking. HOORAH!! No more hills for me 'til the 20th.
