Cruach Ardrain, Beinn Tulaichean, Beinn a' Chroin & An Caisteal. Climbed solo, though Ali was waiting in the car for me- bless her! A cold but clear day, there had been some snow, but prior to the walk it had been wet and so the cold had turned this ti ice- all over the place. I found wearing crampons to be a huge help. A long walk which left me feeling a bit out of shape- I've taken my foot off the gas a little recently. Still, great views this time thank goodness and no 'in cloud' scenes! Fab day and I met some other great guys who were doing a bit of 'bagging' as well. Lovely.

Climbed with Grogs on a lovely wintry day in Nov. Started off quite mild weather and as we got higher there was more and more snow on the ground- the summit being covered in an inch or so of fresh snow. Grogs realised a lifetime's ambition to finally see not one but a plethora of ptarmigan. Yippee. All in all a nice days walking.

Climbed solo on a driech day where the wind increased dramatically as I gained height- I think I was sheltered from much of it lower down by the other mountains around about. A good path to Ryvoan Bothy and then still pretty obvious all the way to the summit. Saw the first signs of recent snow this winter and by gum it felt cold up top. It was also incredibly windy and even though I was on perfectly safe ground (a nice broad ridge) it was still unnerving as it knocked you off balance. Well, that's the last of the Cairngorms. Now for the rest...

Spidean a' Choire Leith & Mullach an Rathain (Liathach) Climbed with Ad on a day which started brighter before the cloud came down. Amazing pinnacled ridge and lots of fun scrambling was had. We were even rewarded with some views over to Beinn Eighe, Loch Maree and Slioch. Really pleased with this one and looking forward to going back for Beinn Eighe.

Tom na Gruagaich & Sgurr Mhor (Beinn Alligin) Climbed solo on a dark morning while Adam lay sleeping in the car. Not that I was jealous or anything. route was quite straightforward and would provide great views and a really nice days walking if you could see anything I'm sure. Still there was plenty to keep me interested- not least the thought of Liathach tomorrow...
