Climbed with Ali on a lovely walking day (about bleedin' time!) Flew up the measly 600m to the summit before dashing back down again then pegging it (safely Mum) back back to Edinburgh to see Razorlight- who were birlliant incidentally. Looking forward to having time to explore the ridge at our leisure.

Sgurr na Ruaidhe, Carn nan Gobhar [Glen Strathfarrar], Sgurr a' Choire Ghlais & Sgurr Fuar-Thuill. Climbed the first hill with Ali before she very kindly offered to return to the valley and drive the car to my walks exit point. The fact that the weather was abysmal has nothing to do with it I'm sure. We had to bomb it round this route because the glen shuts its gates at 8pm and if you aint out- you're in! I have to say this was just about getting round and down as quickly as possible and I was glad it was finished. My knees are really feeling the strain now. Bugger!

Beinn a' Chaorainn & Beinn Teallach (Loch Laggan) Climbed with Ali on a lovely sunny day (some showers) after trying to get to some hills up Glen Strathfarrarrarrarrarrrarrrar or something! Long story but we didn't have enough time and we were about 2 hours from the nearest munro so this really was damage limitation! Still an enjoyable ramble with the wife, and some nice views of Creag Meggaidh- though not it's most rugged side.

Aonach Mor, Aonach Beag, Carn Mor Dearg & Ben Nevis. Climbed with Hoody on a drizzly, windy day with a stonking hangover. After staying up til 6am that morning and grabbing about 5 hrs unconciousness, we thought (in our still drunken stupour) this route would be a good idea. Setting off at 12.30pm we absolutely flew the route and managed to complete the lot in 6 and a half hours. I know I'm bragging, but that's bloody good going in my books! Minimal views but once again the 'Hoodmeister' has provided me with an epic to remember.

Ben Vorlich & Stuc a' Chroin. Climbed with Ali on another day of reasonable weather- though it still felt cold at times- it'll be the sleat and hail that did it probably! quite a straightforward yomp up the hill with the trig point in view for virtually the whole walk- strange. Nice to get back in the hills with Ali- she's a better summit snog than my other walking partners- no offence Grogz.

Sgorr Dhonuill & Sgorr Dhearg (Beinn a' Bheithir) Climbed with Archie on a beautiful panoramic day (about time!) After going the wrong way on forestry tracks we decided to venture forth from the advised route, climb up the west corrie and over the top to Sgorr Dhonuill before continuing on to Sgorr Dhearg and down its North shoulder. Apart from hacking our way through some virgin impennetrable woodland we found the path and the way home. Fantastic!

Bidean nan Bian & Stob Coire Sgreamhach. Climbed with Brother Goldie on a very clammy morning which grew much cooler as we ascended and was darn chillsome at top. A bit of a slog- particularly for Brother Goldie who felt sick (bless him!) and a very slow steady pace saw us reach the summit of hill number 142 at 11am. The significance of this being not just the highest mountain in Argyll, but marking the halfway point of my challenge. It's all downhill from here! Stob Coire Sgreamhach was a short walk away and after a pork pie we descended through the Hidden Valley. A top walk and a big thankyou to Brother Goldie for his unerring support and encouragement throught every minute of the last week.... or something!?!

Buachaille Etive Mor- Stob Dearg & Stob na Broige and Buachaille Etive Beag- Stob Dubh & Stob Coire Raineach. Climbed in part with Brother Goldie on a day of much sunshine and occasional showers. Fantastic! Another ambition fulfilled for me. How many times I'd driven passed the 'Buckle' and wondered what it'd be like to climb. well it was great with amazing views over Rannoch Moor, down Glencoe, over to the 'Ben' and over to the coast. The rest of the day proved to be a bit of a mission as I yomped both the 'Buckle' massives, and my knees had started to give me jip. An easy following day was in order.
